This was a challenge with high technical requirements, due to the production process support systems, such as the gas distribution network, the hot water distribution network and the cleaning products distribution network, among others.
In addition to those networks, the hygiene requirements for production meant the installation of dust removal and suction systems.
Environmental and sustainability concerns were manifested in the system for collecting and treating industrial effluents, with the reuse of wash water as well as the reuse of the accumulated energy of the process for the domestic hot water system.
This reference project also includes the air conditioning of the industrial building and high performance facade and roof insulation to enhance energy efficiency and minimise the acoustic impact of the unit.
