Multi-Modal and Multi-Aspect Holistic Human-Robot Interaction - Project funded by the European Commission (GA 101135707)
FORTIS is an EU-funded project that aims to provide a solution for enabling robots to interact with humans in a human-like way for long periods.
The consortium is composed by 12 partners with different backgrounds:
- academic (Tecnalia, Tampere University, CSIC, FbK);
- technological (Ingeniarius, Robotnik, XLab);
- consultancy (Factor Social, F6S);
- industrial (Garcia, VIAS, Beko-Arçelik).
Therefore, the main objectives are:
- Develop, integrate, and provide an human-centric solution for modeling and analyzing humans.
- Develop and provide a flexible and agile multi-robotic-centric solution interacting with humans.
- Integrate and provide the FORTIS solution where a safe and trustworthy Human-Robot interaction is guaranteed and provides optimized operations for both humans and robots.
- Demonstrate the solution for industrial pilots in construction, maintenance and logistics.
As an end-user, Garcia is part of the testbed for Pilot 1 in construction exploring human-robot interaction with two use cases:
- material transport using loader or telehandler;
- sandwich panel assembly using telehandler.
