Digimatria Project

The DigiMaTRIA project is co-financed by NORTE 2030 and aims to digitally manage the maintenance of industrial assets with the help of robotics and artificial intelligence.
 

The DigiMaTRIA project is co-funded by NORTE 2030 and aims to digitally manage the maintenance of industrial assets using robotics and artificial intelligence.
Its main objective is the development of a Digital Twin (DT) for industrial assets, focused on the maintenance phase.
The platform will integrate technologies for automatic anomaly inspection and monitoring of critical degradation factors, serving as a decision-making tool for maintenance managers.

The consortium, led by Garcia, Garcia S.A., is composed of four entities:

  • Garcia, Garcia S.A., and Gar.com (Companies)
  • ISEP and INESC TEC (Non-Business Entities of the R&D System)

DigiMaTRIA aims to revolutionize the industrial asset maintenance market. The solution will enable more informed, cost-effective, and sustainable decision-making to extend the useful life of assets.

The main objectives of the project are:

  • Develop an autonomous inspection system using sensor-equipped UAVs.
  • Create Artificial Intelligence (AI) methodologies for anomaly detection and degradation risk assessment.
  • Develop the architecture of a Digital Twin platform with advanced predictive capabilities.
  • Validate the solution in a real-world pilot project.

Garcia, Garcia SA plays a crucial role in the project, being responsible for defining the solution's requirements and specifications. You will also lead the testing and demonstration activities and project management.
